Capt. Paul T. Hartmann is a retired Captain of the New York State Forest Rangers, a fire tower historian and the creator of this site.

Bob Berch is an outdoorsman and fire tower enthusiast who maintains his own website entitled: Adirondack Fire Tower Mountains.

Bob Eckler is a fire tower enthusiast involved with the restoration efforts for Pillsbury Mt. He and his late brother Richard have visited and photographed more fire towers than any of the other contributors, having visited about one hundred of the the one hundred and twenty towers listed in this site. Bob is an Assistant Director of the New York Chapter of the Forest Fire Lookout Assn.
